ok, so my other layout is only really good for running trains, so say hello to my new switching layout (sorry for the bad quality;camera was dying, and didn't have a tripod that reaches that high): RS-1 #256, and ex-Susquehanna unit, pauses in front of the small yard shanty before switching the yard. The large building w/ all the ivy over it is an abandoned industrial building, and the boxcar in the background is a de-commissioned 40' boxcar. in this photo, you can see why I can't use a tripod Very blurry, but you can make out the track arrangment: and before you tell me, yes, the run-around can't support anything at the ends but the engine. Yes, I know, and yes, it will be a pain, but no, I'm not changing it, because I have no room to extend the layout.

Now if there were only a way to combine them.

Now if there were only a way to combine them. I doubt I could jack that other layout up to the height of this one, and the switching layout is too long to be brought down. Also, it's made from bits of foam, not just one cut piece. Wish I could though.....
